What are the most common chords spellings in Progressive House ?

I'm wondering what are the most common chords spellings Progressive House artists like Avicii, Alesso, Otto Knows, ... use for their melodies? Major, Minor, 7th Minor, ... ?
Another question; if I choose to use a Major chord spelling for the melody, do I need to keep the same chord spelling for the other parts of the song or can I switch to 7th Minor for example?

Not an answer to your question but chords are a lot more about what order you put them in than what they sound like individually.

Most people say major chords sound happy- but try playing something like Em, Am, Bm, B in that order. The B major actually sounds quite dark because of the preceding chords.
