I really like the way he structures his songs, and makes the same loops with very basic 2-3 note melodies and 2 chords in a progression sound completely different with effects and automation. I know he reverses melodies and samples a lot, but how does it get them to sound different? Does he just automates with a low pass, LFO, or what?
