what to do to start with

im new to music production and music itself.

so what would benefit me more?

makin songs and experimentin straight away or read a few books and experiment then make songs.

thing is i know nowt about it.

oscillator?? - what.

i used my ion, twisted the nobs and didnt even tell the difference wen i changed the tri/saw...sine or pulse.

is there a website or book that would help?

I only started a month ago . . .

I had no help or prior experience so I just got my stuff and started experimenting. That the way I learn best. I never read books or manuals I like to just jump in and start messing around and get the hang of things.

I do my research and ask questions when I need to but the best way to get started is to experiment.

As for books I wouldn't know but this website is a great resource. Just look back through alot of old posts on the diffrent threads and your bound to find answers to many questions you have. FP is a great tool.
