They could have got an acapella for it but otherwise they have just used EQ to isolate the voice which probably didn't 100% remove the rest of the instrumentation but after they added in their own sounds the original stuff would be undetectable. Try using EQ yourself to isolate the vocals, you might need to EQ it twice to get the best effect, then add in some drums and a pad or something and you shouldn't be able to tell.
