Vst Plugins, Won't work

Hi i have been making beats for a long time, but when i composed i used instruments on fl my friends had given to me, now i have loads of Vst plugins, and i've looked all over the internet and found site that tell me how to install them in fl, but for me none of them work.

Everytime i load them up it either says the directory is empty when i click on the plugin using browser, or it has it come up with a grey vst symbol next to it and i can't do anything with that.

please help
 
umm from memory i think u have to install any of ur vsts to the steinberg vst folder for fl, and then from there go to "channels" add one and click on the refresh button at the bottom then it should read all the vsts u installed

Look in this directory on your system. Put them there, with Fruity's VSTs:


C:/Program Files/FLStudio4/Plugins/Vst
