Currently, all of my beats are sampled but i would like to start to learn how to compose. I have an axiom 49 midi controller and FL7. My question is if anyone would be able to share links/upload/email any quality sounding vsts. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bit of a vague question.

For freeware VST instruments, see http://www.audiomastermind.com/browse-free_vst_plugins-5886988-1.html

You'll find that the vast majority of freeware VSTs are synths, each offering slightly different controls and interface but with pretty much the same capabilities and sounds. A bit rarer are nice organs and EPs (try ORGANized Trio and MrRay/MrTramp for good examples).

All the Tweakbench VST instruments are nice for some pretty eclectic sounds and instruments (see http://www.tweakbench.com/). Try Peach for some 80s, 8-bit Nintendo sounds and Tapeworm for the best sampled Mellotron IMHO.

If you want to explore synth programming proper, MiniMogueVA is pretty much the most incredible sounding MiniMoog emulation.

Safwan Matni's offerings give you some pretty unusual but quite well-made ethnic sounds including an accordion, an oboe-y shawm and takim drums.

Hope it's helpful. Unfortunately, with freeware you don't get much choice. When composing, I work predominantly with Edirol's excellent Orchestral and Super Quartet and E-MU's Proteus X.
