Type of chord

Playing the notes from a chord at different times is called using 'broken chords' or arpeggios. Playing the same chord with the notes in a different order is called using 'inversions'.

Not entirely sure what you mean though. Are you talking about the actual notes or the sound design/timbre?

Hi Hardada,

The chord progression is as follows:
Bb | C | Dm | Dm | Bb | C | Dm | F

The chords are indeed played "broken", meaning not all notes are played simultaneously.
In this case here, the bass is played separately from the chords, like this:

----X-X--X-XX-----X---- (chords)
-X------X-------X------- (bass notes)

Thought this might be more helpful than proper notation as a visual but let me know
if you need it properly notated :)

All the best,
Friedemann

P.S. If you want more chord progressions you can also check this out.

Hello Hardada,

do you mean the melody notes or the notes of the chords?

I just had time, so I wrote down the notes as far as I could hear them from position 1:08 to 1:24 :)
(it's kind of difficult to filter the chords from the high-frequency effect at 1:05 - 1:10 or 1:22 - 1:25..)

I took the chords from the post written by "HolisticSongwriting".

By the way: i like the variations composed by Kygo very much :-)

Kind regards,
X3nion
