TUTORIAL: Learning Scales & Chords

You can use whatever chords you would like. Understanding cadences will help you choose a more sophisticated chord progression. The most popular chords are 1 4 5 & 6, mix them around and test your results. Also take note that for example 3 minor 7 contains the notes of the 5 chord, so it can be used as a substitute for it. Look into extended chords to deepen your understanding of chords and always be asking yourself how is this chord functioning?

Another thing to consider when voicing chords is how the gap between chord notes goes from wide to narrow a super common word voicing is 1 5 1 3 5 1. We encourage all our artists to utilize this chord voicing on keys when creating piano arrangements.

Please somebody help me !
