I'm gonna be honest man I don't like relying on devices to learn thing like this because what it really does is teach reliance on the devices.

I remember when I first purchased a keyboard I promptly labeled the keys on it.

I later had to relearn the keys without the letters on them.

The thing is, you have to learn it to the point where you're no longer having to actively rely on it. When I first started out, I did not understand why I had to learn the circle of fifths. As I learned more about tonal harmony and whatnot, knowing the circle of fifths made things like chord construction and transposition much easier to grasp. Trust me when I say, once you learn it, almost everything else you learn about theory becomes easier to understand.
 
Read and learned this, but being I've learned on my own, this really helps to understand a bit better. Dope
