Tracking/Arranging/Sequencing Tips

You ever not know how to layout your beats? I have ALL the key elements laid down, Just not sure how to intro and transition from chorus/verses. It sounds bland and weak the way Im laying it out. Im a Maschine user so if you use the software like I do post in this thread. Daw doesn't matter but the SCENE system is kind of weird to say the least when it comes to sequencing

Toward the last parts of a section, use drum breaks and transition effects (like white noise sweeps and risers) to liven up the transition. Cutting things to create contrast is a good rule of thumb, even to the point of silence. For example, just before the hook on Gangnam Style, the beat goes completely silent. Whatever follows silence will seem that much louder. Whatever follows noise will seem that much quieter.

I prefer to use maschine as a VST in Cubase and then use Cubase to sequence. I don't like the sequencer in Maschine and I cant seem to figure it out.
