Listening to Dr.Dre's "The Chronic" it sounds like it a certain pop genre with rap vocals over them.
I think a BIG part of why it became a classic was because it Gangsta Rap vocals over Pop sound.
(I also seen it on a documentary of Dre that that was his plan)
I don't remember if "Nuthin But a G' Thang" was a flipped sample but that sounds like something that would have pop vocals over it.
I wanna recreate that type Pop sound.
I know Funky Bass and leads.
Any other tips?
Certain samples I should search for to chop?
Any kind of way the beat groove is made?
And I also know tempos around 80-100 BPM
But was there a certain way it was mixed?
