Time Stretching - Sound Design

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone can lend an ear for some advice on recreating the foundation sound of Rihanna's 'Yeah I Said It'.



To me, it sounds like a flute that's been heavily stretched. Tried a couple methods within Maschine & Logic Pro X but my results are poor. Would appreciate any tips you guys can give.
 
sounds kinda like abletons texture timestretch algorithm to me. but there is also some distortion I guess... to get back the highs lost when doing that
