Thick sound

I´d like to know how to achieve such a thick , "meaty" sounding kick as in this trick . I tried around with eq and compression several times but I never got the result I´m looking for . It would be great if someone could help me with this .

Its more of a balance thing a Eq or compression thing. First make sure you have a kick with a super short release tail. then when you are mixing make sure that the kick is the LOUDES SOUND IN THE MIX and make the 808 the second loudest. Make sure to keep that balance through out the whole mix and you will get a vibe like that.
