What would one do to create his songs to sound more professional? When I listen to my tracks they sound flat and not like what I hear on the radio or tracks from a specific label. I have not sent any tracks to be professionally mastered. I do use Adobe audition to improve the dynamics processing, and add a mastering effect. I would like to get my tracks to sound great for the time I actually want to master a track. As of right now I use Ableton and Adobe Audition I also have Komplete 10 Ultimate but use this for instruments. My interface is a steinberg ur 22 it's 24 bit with 44.1. Do I need to get analog hardware such as compressors, eq, reverb, etc.? What can I do to make the sound more professional? I can always improve on the effects and how they are being used but there is a HUGE difference.
