Ya, i agree with the OGBama. If you're looking for a fanbase, you need a specific style...changing your genre/style up will confuse your fans.
If you're making music for like licensing in TV, video gmess and stuff you'll need a wider skillset in multiple genres and styles, but these artists don't really have "fans", ya know. People don't really know who make the tunes for Star wars battlefront or the many aritsts who write music for Mario Bro games.
Both are cool, but if you're looking for fans, stick to a style they can count on you delivering. OR, like a lot of artists do, they have their "genre/style" out for their fans, but also write different styles for licensing on the side away from the public eye.
