Hi Im learning to play jazz keyboard, atm Im jst learning scales.
In this jazz keyboard book ive got it sez the c major scales goes like this C D E F G A B C,

But on this website it sez you don't play te last C.

Witch one is right? Also does it matter where abouts you play the scale? Ive been playin it around middle c

The last C in your first example just completes the octave. There's no right or wrong. Also, you can play them in any octave you choose.
 
The piano, usually, is tuned in 12TET (12-tone equal temperment), i.e. everything repeats every octave. You don't need to worry about octave on a pinao. Actually, octaves are just a matter of timbre.
