rnb guitar scale questions

Does anybody know what scale frets/strings are used in songs like must be life by lyfe jennings or cadilac love by lloyd on his first album with murder inc...im trying to find that acoustic sound for mid tempo rnb tracks....help please.......also if anyone knows what keys on piano are used(what scale and chords ) for the brian michael cox sound.....can anyone post some examples of these 2 questions ...i know it's asking alot but this will help me dramatically..THANKS IN ADVANCE....

I'm not familiar with any of those songs, but r&b tends to use the simpler chords, so try...

3rds, 4ths & 6ths diads
major & minor triads
major & minor 6ths
major, minor & dominant 7ths & 9ths

major, minor, pentatonic & blues scales


Also, chords and scales are the same on guitar and piano.
