The "reese" effect

I am pining to kno why reese basses "oscillate' faster at higher frequencies. I'm not exacly sure how to describe it, but it's like the sound repeats faster at higher notes. Could someone helpp me to recreate this?? Thanks a bunches!!!!

That's probably done by sampling. If you play a sample on a higher note, the sample is played faster. Pretty simple.
