So I recently threw up a post on how to use reason 5 and after watching many of tutorials online and reading 2 books in there entirety... I've found the source of my problem...Synth design(or more general, Sound Design). I've decided that I wanted to make some remixes to help learn and understand the progressive trance/house scene thats very big right now. I was going to do a remix of Above and Beyond's - Thing Called Love(Original). I had some pretty good ideas going on as far as what I wanted to do... but then when I try to apply that idea to a synth... the way it sounds just destroys it. What I'm trying to achieve is how to reproduce the main synth in the song around :42 seconds in(You'll have to youtube it as I cant post links yet haha). My goal in learning how to reproduce that sound is to be able to understand what synths i should use to make similar sounds. If someone has some information to help me out that would be greatly appreciated!!
