Hello, by analyzing todays pop/rock music I noticed that artists often doesn't use primary chords I IV V as their first chords. Also I do not understand how they are using cadences in their songs. Usually they use some kind of imperfect or plagal cadence in the end of 4 bar and they do not use any cadence at all at the end of 8 bar. But those songs have a good sense of motion, sense of "breathing". For instance the chorus part of this pop tune doesn't even have any tonic chord and cadences Rude - Zedd Remix by MAGIC - Theorytab
Also another example is one of my favorite tunes of that kind of musicStrobe by deadmau5 - Theorytab It has no tonic chord too. Also question about cadences, does this V-vi progression in the 6 bar counts as a deceptive cadence, or cadences counts only when they are in the end of 4, 8 etc. bars ?
