Patches with Odd/Inconsistent Sounds

I've noticed this on a good amount of sounds in almost all my plugins. For example theres a gladiator synth prest with some odd detuned feedback sound in the background with the sound. How can I learn, if possible, to edit the parameters and remove these inconsistencies so it plays the same way throughout?
 
I'd probably start from the beginning and learn how synthesizers work in general - I pretty much understand every control in Gladiator's UI without having ever used it, for example...because while it has its own special features, it's still more or less the same as every other subtractive synth out there.
