Hi

I am looking to recreate this short funky lead sound that comes in around 1:16. It sounds really simple but I'm having trouble recreating it. (I use ableton live instruments & free TAL synths)

Thanks!!

Yeah it reminds me of chromeo in the studio with future music, when P-thug is jamming on his minimoog. That's why I'm so interested in this sound!
Usually for recreating minimoog sounds I take 2 oscillators, 1 octave Low, 1 octave High. But what oscillator/filter settings would be used to get this sound?
Thnx

square waves that are actually converted to pulse width waves (i.e. change the duty cycle from 50% to something like 80%) then you need to use a moog type lp filter with moderately low settings on the cutoff and the resonance pumped up a little (that is the squelchiness you can hear), modulate the filter and the amplitude with an envelope to open up the filter and create the attack-release that is so typical of this sound
