i have the priveledge of usin an MS-2000 synth. i am to the point where i can make a sound and make it sound about what i want it to. the thing is whenever i record and stick it into ACID none of my sounds seem to go together, i think about it and it seems like they would but the timing is off and they clash anyway etc.. i cant make anything that sounds any good..

does anyone have some tips for a newbie like me?

thx!!

PORTAMENTO.

Try overlapping your notes and adjust the portamento.

This will allow notes to slide into each other and make things sound more smoother (less stutter).

This obvioulsy won't work with every sound you use but try it with pads or strings and you'll see what i mean.

Well I think you should rather use a midi sequencer like cubase or other, in that way you can easily modify your "arrangement", change notes and quantise your midi tracks so they'll all play in rhythm. When you'll be happy with your "arrangement", just record a stereo track of it, make some EQ , etc,... and burn it on a cd.

Simple, no ? :)
