how exactly do you use musictheory to make better songs?
i mean i have read through some stuff but it doesnt seam to offer much
it looks more liek a discrptive thing then a tool to come up with new songs
care to elaborate how ayou apply musictheory to your songs?
 
well it depends on what genre of music too. but basically theory helps u to better understand where you can go musically. if you were a classical pianist, it would be all about theory, but if u just a hip hop producer, just need to know a few chords and you'll be ok
