Would or Does it help to have an 'IMAGE' or picture as to what a instrument actually looks like in real life for music theory reference and knowledge....???
Since my music theory knowledge is lacking.....And because I am a VISUAL LEARNER....
I was thinking of making a catalogue/library of instruments that I either don't know or have not heard before in order to aid me in visually knowing how the instrument is 'traditionally' played/performed and therefore help me to distinguish how I would like to use that particular sound/instrument if and/or the need would ever rise.
For example....some of the instruments in a standard Orchestra/Orchestral Accompaniment. Some popular ethnic/world instruments.
What do you guys think/conclude...???
Does anyone do this already and whats your experience...??
Would this just be a waste of time/energy/space...???
