im getting to grips with the major scale modes, and the harmonisations that go along with them

ionian M m m M M m d
dorian m m M M m d M
phrygian m M M m d M m
lydian M M m d M m m
mixolydian M m d M m m M
aeolian m d M m m M M
locrian d M m m M M m

M=major, m=minor, d=diminished

but i cant find anywhere in books or on the internet where it describes the minor modes?

are there any?

do they follow the same ionian, dorian, etc etc pattern?

i would expect they start on the aeolian, and cycle around to end on the mixlydian. is that correct?

i know chords/harmonisation open up into an aeolian pattern for the 1st degree of the minor scale, and i know the pattern for 7th chords for the first degree of the harmonic, melodic and natural minor scale, what i need to know is...

do they follow a similar pattern to the major modes in that the chord pattern shifts along with the different degrees?

if anyone can shed light on this for me i would be most appreciative!!!!

thanks in advance
peace

minor is another animal stemmed from major,
you have major as ( i think remember as 2semitones,1semi are better for recalling )

C D E F G A B ,
2-2-1-2-2-2 2,1 are 2semitones,1semitone apart.
then minor is the same as major starts at the 6th.
Then you have harmonic minor which has #5

it's Am with G# so the chord is E7
i just remember this
C major
Am minor
Am harmonic minor ( has E7,G# )
then if you dig deeper there 'll be jazz minor
but you dont have to figure and rmember all to write good songs.
hope it helps
