can you run samples through a midi controller and split the beat through the keys or store the beat or something in the controller I know how to cut the beat in a program with a slicer and hit the keys but was just wondering if u can store the beat and slice it in the keyboard

There is so much to address here that it is impossible to cover it by posting in a forum.

You really should do a general search online about basic midi concepts and basic sequencer concepts.

You need to start from the beginning.

just to start you off on your journey:

1. you do not "run samples through" nor do you store anything in a "controller"

2. you need to understand how these systems work at least to a point where you can formulate what it is that you are asking (i.e., understand what you are asking to a point where you are asking a definite question rather than talking about "the beat or something")





Until you understand these most basics of basics, nothing else will make any sense to you.
