Hello, i'm a bit of a novice with the mc-505 groovebox. I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how to create original beats with it? thanks.

Your best best is to get into the manual if you can't figure it out by just messing with it. Just get into the Sequencer / editing sections as well as the rps mode for playing patterns live....
the pdf manual should be on the roland site or you can order a paper one from them too....

its a sampler with sequencer&fx... most anything you read about fl/mpc/acid can be applied if u think about it
for a start load up some samples, program a 1 bar beat then copy it to other banks and embellish/change as required have fun its a decent box
