Making a mans voice sound like a womans

I have protools and I've messed with the pitch shifter, but I don't quite know the settings that I would have to use in order to get it to sound like that...anybody know how I would go about doing that or what plugins or software I could use...I have soundforge too, could it be done in that too?

All you gotta do is change the pitch until you like it. There isn't a rule or certain setting to get a sound, you just have to do what you want to it.

A formant shifter would work much better than a pitch shifter. I'm sure there are some that work with pro-tools. GRM might have one. If not, there's VSTs and standalone processors out there.

this day and age... anything other than the real thing... will sound like a tranny.

Find a decent sized mic boom...swing it upwards at a velocity of 2 m/s at a perpendicular angle to your singer towards their lower half. Repeat as necessary until desired results are achieved.
