Most of my beats aren't too complex, but I really want to know how to make my hats sound better.
How does J Cole get his hats to sound like that? Is it a sample, or multiple hat sounds, or actual live drums?
What about this? How does Dilla get the open hats to blend so good with the other hats?
Right now I'm really confused. I just want to know how the process goes, because right now my hats only sound good if I use one hat sound. (I'm on Maschine Studio if you have any specific tips for that).
