where do these guys get there sounds, for example lil jon with goodies sound? is that a car alarm, n swizz beats in b-boy stance, does anyone know where i could get those sounds, or how to make them.
Making sounds takes a long time and there is a steep learning curve before you can go directly to where you want to go.
If you have an analog modler (straight analog or one with g-tables) look at some of the the presets and then play with the setting - see where it takes you)
Once you are comfortable with how to shape sounds using effects and oscilator you can step up to HW AMS:
