on carpal tunnel and similar issues - it comes back to posture in general
You may notice when playing that you get pain in your back below the shoulder blade (scapula) on either side - this is an indication that you have over-extended or compressed one or more muscles in the arms - in fact it is an indication that you are using muscles and tendons that do not need to be used period - your in-the-flesh teacher will recognise this straight away and correct your entire hand and body posture to avoid this....
