Layering a track?

Can anyone tell me if it is that important to layer a track when I sell my beats to people. This one guy told me to layer my tracks because it's easier for the studio engineer to set the appropriate levels for each sound (snare, kick, etc.) Someone please help me out.

You mean put track separate...then yes its a good idea.

kicks all one track, snares on another, bass on another etc etc

But I mean its all preference.

In the end tho its best so its easier to work with at bigger studios when getting mixed.

this is what I have learned at least over the years, but some people like **** other ways you never know but the best rout is to listen to what he said and do it that way IMO./
