As of late i have been layering Breaks and chopping drum fills like CRAZY!!
I cannot stop! it's like an addiction now.. Nothing sounds right to me if i am not using this technique!
What do you think? Do you do the same thing? How often? I started this thread just to get an idea of how many people do this and what their techniques are!
I use maschine studio and i will just about use any drum fill and chop it up aslong as the quality as good!
Check out these examples from a few of my recent beats.

Also i would love feedback Negative or Positive. Much love y'all!

Not bad man, good work, sounds legit to me.

me myself I use my own drums and midi, I don't use breaks at all.

If I do use a famous break, which I have in the past, I'd rather remake it in midi form so I can have control over each sound individually.

Nice man i really like the second beat. I think you may be lacking a lot of low range tbh but that could be just my preference hah.
Not live tracking as much, more my own custom samples triggered by midi.
Just checked out your stuff too man, nice man. but i think he samples the rolls because you cant trigger midi samples and get a realistic analog sounding snare roll..

i usaly drop in like 10 to 20 percusive samples or snares and make the fill from that (using audio and having a track for each sound)
