That Kind Of Kick...

^^^A sound like it is on the Triton(was used in clipse grinding)Sounds like they actually did make that from layering. I know I could remake it with a basic bass kick, and a 1 note sample of a kick from Queen's "we will rock you". Prettye sure that's how they made it, but don't know for sure. But i am 100% positive the drum from lean back is in either the House or Drum & Bass kits on a Motif. I've used it several times.

i rarely compress. people think that it creates bigger sounds and more bass. all it does is squash your signal... it's signal control and for me, that often prohibits big sounds and just creates a pumping effect which isnt what im after. if you need to use a ton of compression and eqing then you arent using the right samples in the first place IMO.

what i like to do is send my drum track to a bus, roll off everything over 200hz, put some 20,000 tone overdrive on the bus, run a waves maxxxbass at 135hz, boost the **** out of it, hi cut the kit again and turn the bus up.

it will thump.
