Kaytranada arppeggios

How can I recreate arpeggios like these? all arpeggiators I've used make them sound so synthetic and doesn't have the groove that these songs have. Can anyone give me some tips?
 
in the first track the arpeggio is played once and then repeated with decreasing intensity then increasing intensity (i.e. it sounds like there is volume automation applied to the channel) - could be several different delays chained together or some other automation

the second one has a similar feel approach, though this time it sounds like a lowpass filter is having its corner frequency pushed lower then higher
