Kanye West 808 & Heartbreak Autotune?

I was listening to this song and I know notice he use this type of autotune when he does use autotune.

It sounds sooo suttle not really like how T-pain uses it.


What can I use and how do I program it to get this type of autotune?

I'd consider "subtle autotune" to be something you don't really notice at all (that's the way it's been used on countless, well, almost every single mainstream record since it hit the scene. This is just a less-aggressive version of the T-Pain thing, with more actual singing and less Autotune doing its thing.

to extend - he is mostly singing in tune so the auto-tune/melodyne/repitching sw is not having to work as hard to push the notes into tune - only in pop music can we make it a virtue to be able to sing badly and then use technology to make it in tune

so to make a similar sound sing "in tune" and then use auto-tune to nudge it the last few cents into "tune"
