So I gotta say, since I started the journey into EDM producing about 8 months ago, I am constantly filled with joy in how rich, challenging, and rewarding the endeavor is :D

I've been learning about sound design, sinewaves filters and all that jazz recently, what goes with what etc and just recently I got the massive SS, and I made my first custom synth and was excited so just thought i'd share it with you guys :)

Any pro's when it comes to sound design that could offer any tips on how to shape it even further it would be greatly appreciated!

Here's what I did

Square saw and sinewave-triangle for the oscillating synths

filters: scream and bandreject

FX: Reverb and flanger

EQ: Mild low shelf, moderate high shelf

Insert 1: HP LP filter

and the riff was just some chords messin around with my midi controller, llemme know what you think! cheers :D

sounds cool, but its not that massive lead synth, its more a pad i think.. to start a track its nice .. or to build around a track

I agree with the others on the pad sound. Massive is really great and you can do a lot with it. Found it works best with bass sounds.
