If I move a key in a scale does that mean the whole melody will be off?

Because I switched around 1 or two keys and to me it sounds way better. Does it still mean the melody is ****d up if i switch a key ortwo?

I'm going to go with it's fine to do what you are saying, as I am sure that you mean tone instead of key

- changing a note in your melody from one tone to another tone within the same scale is fine,

- changing to a tone outside of your scale may also be fine and even dictated by your chord progression

as with all things musical, however, without a concrete example it is only guesswork as to whether what you have done is reasonable or not

Does the root key of the Scale change the style of the beat?

For Example, If you start a minor scale on D , Willl it give it a different feeling to it if i start it on any other key?

short answer: no, longer answer: no but maybe, depending on how you choose to continue the lines
