I want those KILLER mid-low freqs

I always feel like the songs I like have more power in that high-low,low-mid area, you know not the low end but a little bit above. Those freqs what gives the track that warmth and power.

And also noticed that a lotta snare in those songs kinda have that strong low-mid freqs which I can't really achieve by EQ.

What's the secret? I know get samples that already have that, I do.

The songs I mean

Bizarre feat. D12 - Nuttin' At All

All the Eminem's Re-Up mixtape

I already achieved it in some level but I guess yall have tips about it that I don't know.

thanks

You cannot get what is not already there.
You must start with a good source first.
The eq is too just make it a little better

start with a good sample...and the rest your already mentioned, EQ the mid frequencies. Also compression and limiting

I'm not neccessary talking about mixing or mastering

It's more about composing.

man ima put it to ya like this i fell in love with the blue tubes eq from Nomad factory

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://nomadfactory.com/products/blue_equalizers/img/large/bt_peq5b.png&imgrefurl=http://store.dontcrack.com/product_info.php%3Fproducts_id%3D217&h=495&w=801&sz=186&hl=en&start=7&um=1&tbnid=QLyzgRFSszJQXM:&tbnh=88&tbnw=143&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbt%2Beq%2Bvst%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN

i use it on all of my music production, from eq'ing vocals, to the snare and kick
(BT Equalizer PEQ5B)

i also use the ssl bundle, but this is as close to the ssl as it gets that i've found out....

It sure does not sound like you are talking about composing to me

It's pretty much what cats are saying: your source will have to have a strong presence in that frequency. Maybe you can take a light, snappy snare and crank the pitch down on it so it gets low and tubby...THEN you're ready to tweak the lower mids that you just created, and drop that snare into the pocket of the groove.

btw, IMO effective composing and sound design go hand-in-hand; color is an intrinsic element of composition, as any classical composer (which I am, incidentally) will tell you.

thanks everybody I'm on my way to do it

What composing are you talking about.
All you said was some dumb **** about a snare.
Don't get it twisted.
Not like you are talking some great score you wrote.

Hold the hell up.

Are you mad? Really??

If you really want me to go in, I'll go in. I'd rather keep it peaceful on here, but you sound like you've got something to prove. Are you trying to crank it up like that?

I was talking about MIDLOW freqs. They can be there by EQ, the sample itself, low octave notes, a rich bass or a low chello.

why you care about how I call it I just wanted to ask how I can achieve a strong mid low area.

I don't care if it's mixing, mastering, composing, cooking or ****ing.

You are trying to get it as good as a Em song.
You know what everyone is going to tell you.
The same old ****.Layer.eq and so on.
Hard to give any good answers if we don't know anything
about your track.
Chances are those tracks are send to audio enginners to get
them to sound as good as they do.
You have the money for that.If no then you have that much more
to learn.
If you care start to follow their advice and not what you may
get here.

Here some articles if you care.It may help.

One other thing you can try.
You can ask them the question too.
I have talk to David Pensado before.
He may take awhile to get back to you.
