Now I know they are looping and reversing certain parts of the main vocals but the texture change of it is something else! It sounds like some strange pitching method combined with some specific type of distortion, kicks in at 0:53

no, that was-someone-else-and-it-was-about-a-different-style-of-sampling-vocals-"chipmunk"-style-whereas-this-is-different.

Depends on what DAW you're on. Just search for pitch vocal effect on Youtube with your DAW. Try searching under Jack U vocal effect. That's how I found out how to do that effect. Ableton is probably gonna get you the result you're looking for in those examples you provided.
