How to strip the instrumental and just get the acapella??

I made beats and have people sing/ rap over them.

since I have the original track I though it would be easy but the acapella they put on it changes the loudness I originally had the beat.

how do I get the beat the same that was recorded on and the instrumental same length to phase cancel the beat??

If you have the acapella track by itself, just line it up w/ the song in a wav editor.

Then phase invert the acapella and you'll be left with just the beat.

If any little thing is off it won't work, though. The vocals need to be identical and perfectly lined up.
