How to make good bass

Right now I'm struggling with creating a good bassline. I have these really nice drums but when I try to put a bassline in it doesn't seem right. All the genres I mainly listen to (Trance, Progressive House, Chillout) when you listen closely to the bass they all sound similar in a way and seem to always fit, how do you achieve this?

Well I don't have access to FL Studio right now I could upload a sample later, but here is an example of a nice bassline im talking about. (my drums were made with Progressive House in mind, 126 BPM) Roald Velden - Broken Heart (Original Mix) - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQq-S-PzPqA.. It is easier to hear in the second link in the first one listen from 3:18 to 3:30 its more clear
