How do you get bass to sound like this?

Just a simple bassline. There is no anything special with that...
If you want an acoustic bass, i guess that scarbee pre-bass library for kontakt would be good
If you want a synth bass, just use any simple sin wave basss in any vst synth

I agree with Obamatitts. However if you want to add more beef to the bass then add in a square/pulse wave oscillator and then drop it down an octave or two (depending on what you're doing).

If you do add in the square/pulse wave, you may want to add in a low pass filter as well since that will in extra harmonics to the top end you may not want.

This is what I do with my bass I use trillian I'll take a acoustic bass add distortion with a amp or other fx and add a low pass filter to cut some of the highs out

Many ways to make this kind of bass. You can get somehting similar by filtering the crap out of regular bass guitar, but I think this is a synth tho.
If you're looking for that smooth sub with a punchy attack, try pitchbending a regular sine-sub bass with a sharp (fast attack and delay) envelope. That'll give it that kick-like transient with a smooth tail.
