How do I make LA beat scene Hi-Hats

Ok guys,
I have been listening to many artists in the LA beat scene recently, notably Knxwledge. His hi-hats are really complex and his beats are off tempo but still sound so good.
What I'm wondering is how do I emulate these complex hat patterns?
I have included two examples below.
Hope you guys can help, I have a few hi hat tips myself.

That's easy man, just turn quantize off and imo avoid swing to get that type of groove.
