Hello,
I was working on a remake of Hardwell's Don't Stop The Madness drop ; after hours of EQing, compressing, and trying hundreds of synths and distortion settings, I obtained a pretty nice result (audio file is attached).
Listening to it over and over to find imperfections and to achieve the perfect result, I noticed that the top kick attack peak in the original song, seems to be "rounder" and "softer" than mine , but I really can't figure out how to correct it. I am sure it has something to do with both low kick and top kick equalization. Removing some frequencies around 400-500 Hz in the top kick, I get closer to the result, but it still sound different... I just love that kick and I'd like to learn how to achieve it .
Thanks in advance
