How do i get that nice automated synth

in Rocko's "Umma Do Me"

how do i get that automated synth, its like going in and out, and is behind the brass

its sounds so hard(bad ass)

how can i achieve that effect in Reason.

To get that sound, you can record yourself manipulating the knobs and/or faders. 1st record your melody with subtractor or any other synth. Then...

1. MIDI/Record Enable the track you want to play with
2. Press the Record button and then play
3. Turn the knobs and/or faders that makes it sound the way you want (probably "freq" and or "res")

When you play your track back it should have recorded your movement.
 
Hey Krazie I love that synth too...all it is is a arp with a filter. Go to Rhythmic presets in Instruments of Reason and search for something starting with Arp and one of them that starts with an F sounds like it as well....also play chords to get a better sound.
 
ahh ok. How do i slow the sound down instead of slowing the master tempo down?

It is called a autofillter.
Lfo(Sine wave) on a filter cuttoff with the proper rate(speed)
