How to create this wobble? Roots Manuva - Here we go again

At 15 seconds out in this song, it is a wobble which is pretty sick:

I wonder how this is achievable. I have problems in re-creating it. The LFO doesnt follow a fixed speed.. Is this done by sampling the wobble and play around with it, or is it possible to do this in Massive with use of several LFOs?

Would appreciate some input. Thanks!
 
Three options:
1: instead of using an LFO automate the filter cutoff in your daw and do can draw wubs any shape you like.
2: use an LFO with sync turned on, then automate the rate of the LFO.
3: make the bass and record some long notes with the LFO set at different rates, then chop them up and rearrange to taste, like you say.

If I were to do it, I'd use option 2 so I can go back and tweak the patch if I want, but not all synths have the option to automate rate when sync is turned on, so If I didn't have that option I'd use 1.
