How can I approach this type of sound/style?

Hello FP,I found that instrumental though youtube and I liked it so much,that I would love to work on something that it's kinda similar,I tried to make something but I eventually failed,I like the brass,the other high-pitched instument which sounds like a woodwind (I don't know the name but I tried to describe it as much as I could),and the drum loop which is the thing that I liked the most on this instrumental,I like this dark/emotional sound,any help would be helpful,Thank you in advance!

I think sound selection would be the best thing you can do to get this sort of style. These aren't your average hip hop drums haha, so maybe that's it?

Yeah,I would love to approach this kind of drum sound,but I haven't worked on something like this before.I also like the instrument selection (I assume it's a sample) but it sounds so realistic,I would love to know where I can get samples like this (if sampled) or try to make some deep,realistic instrumentation like in this beat!
