Help Creating Snare rolls

Hey whats up. I was wondering if I could get some input about creating Snare rolls for Techno/trance and House type stuff. I'm using Fruity Loops 3 and I just can't get that marching typr build up that you hear all the time any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't bother! They're an ugly cliche :)

Okay okay, I'm exaggerating my aversion to trance cliches as usual. I've come up with some decent enough sounding snare rolls using Rebirth (a software version of an 808/909 drum machine, as I understand).
